Holy cannoli! That's all I could say when we stood in line at Mike's Pastry. Because one, the line was SO long. (the picture doesn't even come close to doing it justice) Two, there were so many items to choose from. We ended up asking people in line what we should order. Three, the actual cannoli was huge!
We had heard about Mike's Pastry from Trip Advisor before we went. But, we also saw tons of people walking around with pastry boxes from there, so we knew it had to be good. The only problem was there was this..
another pastry shop right across the street! Everyone we talked to had their own opinion, Mike's or Modern. So, we decided to do our own taste test to see which one we liked best, and this is what we came home with......
Can you believe we bought all of this? By the time we got home it was close to 11:00 and we sat down and tasted everything! We got 2 cannolis (sp?), an eclair, and a cream puff from Modern (Look how big the eclair and cream puff are. We were expecting something much smaller) From Mike's we got 2 cannolis to compare and 2 macaroon cookies.
And the winner was.....
