Oops!

I was called out by one of my friends for not posting this with my other snow pictures, so here's the truth..the whole truth...and nothing but the truth!!!

I went outside to see what kind of snow had fallen before we went to make the snowman. I made a snowball and threw it at the kitchen window for Tim to see it was packing quite well. He didn't respond so I made another one. I guess I packed the second one a little too hard and threw it with a little more force, because this is what happened...
Needless to say, Tim wasn't too happy with me. Sorry!

Snow Day January 2009!

Tim and Ellen playing catch in the snow.

Ellen throwing her first snow ball. You were safe from being hit unless you were standing on her right side. She has a bit of a side arm throw.

Ellen gathering snow to make her first snowman. She had to go to a clear part of snow each time. (Somewhere where there were no footprints)

Ellen and I starting the base of the snowman

Tim and Ellen putting on the carrot nose, mouth, eyes, arms, and hat.

Picture Tag

Picture Tag:

So, my friend Erin picture tagged me. The rules I had to follow were:

1. Go to where you store your digital photo folders & open the 4th folder.
2. Go to the 4th picture and post it.
3. Explain the picture.
4. Tag an additional 4 people.

My fourth folder of pictures were some of Tim and Ellen playing video games. As you can see the picture was taken a while back. It was actually taken on May 29, 2007! Ellen sure has changed a lot! It's funny to look back and see how little hair she actually had. Sorry there isn't a huge story about the picture, but I thought it was a fun idea to be tagged and to tag some friends.

I am tagging: Trina, Amanda, Brittany, & Danae

Baby Update

I wanted to give everyone an update on the baby.

I would love to tell you that she has a name, but we haven't been able to decide. Ellen had a thought for a name... a couple of weeks ago I randomly ask her what she wanted to name her baby sister. She said, with out hesitation, STEVE! Funny this is- we didn't know a Steve at that time.

I am almost 28 weeks along, for those of you who don't count in weeks, that's 6 months. We have a lot of things to do around here in these next 3 months. We need to transform a spare room/junk room/office/scrapbook room into a nursery! I sound some bedding that I love on clearance at Target. It has ladybugs and flowers on it. Tim gratefully bought it for me-Thank you Lord for a husband who buys things he doesn't understand! I am truly blessed!

I had an appointment today and everything sounded good. We are both growing appropriately and the Doctor is pleased. I am still working out at the YMCA at least 4 times a week and I'm feeling great. I hope this will help me bounce back quickly since I will have almost two full months before Tim is out of school. This is actually a blessing... HOPEFULLY we will have some of the major kinks worked out by then, and we'll be able to spend the summer hanging out as a family of four!

Here are a few prayer requests that we have:
* God's timing- April is the heart of Tim's track season and it's when he gives the MAP Test at school
* Quick Labor and Delivery- could it be any longer than last time? : )
* Ellen making needed adjustments
* Quick recovery

Garber Christmas 2008

The whole Garber gang made the trip to Dale and Jane's for Christmas. We always have a lot of fun opening gifts and eating tons of good food.

Justin is modeling his "gift" from Charlie! It hadn't actually arrived yet so Charlie gave him a tiny t-shirt to open instead.

Tim likes to get a picture of just him and Ellen to put on his desk at school

Next year there will be 4 of us!!!

Here's the whole gang! This family is only going to get bigger, can you imagine that?

Jenkerson Christmas 2008

Ellen's first gift to open was a recorder from my parents! Why is it that grandparents enjoy giving noisy gifts? She really likes it and it hasn't gotten annoying yet!
Tim got me a new bible for Christmas. It's really nice, since my old one didn't have any references or index pages.
Ellen got really, really excited about opening her kitchen utensils. She actually said, "Oh my gosh!" (If you look closely you can see her saying it) It was funny then, but now she wants to say it all the time. We are encouraging her to use other words.

When Ellen opened this gift she thought it was a teddy bear!

Ellen got a sleeping bag that has a blow up mattress underneath! She is going to need something to sleep on when we go camping since the new baby will be using the pack and play!

My parents got this dress up outfit for Ellen. It is so cute and she loves playing dress up. Tim taught her to say, "I declare!" with a southern accent.

For the Bible Tells Me So

Ellen gathered up all of her babies and started "reading" the bible to them. I tried to catch it on video and got most of it, but I ran out of batteries! : ( I asked her what book she was reading and she told me, "the bible." I asked her what they bible said and she said, "Jesus loves me!" I continued to ask her how she knew that and she sang, "Jesus loves me this I know, for the bible tells me so!"
MAYBE SHE IS GETTING ALL THIS STUFF WE ARE TELLING HER!

First Homemade Ornament

Ellen made her very first ornament at church a couple of weeks before Christmas. It was one of those that smell like cinnamon! She was very excited and proud to put it on the tree. I guess it will be one of many more to come. Good thing we don't have one of those fancy kind of trees where everything has to match!

Sneaky Little Girl

This is what I found Ellen doing with the peanut butter jar the other day. Sorry if you're not into double dipping!

About Me

I thought I would give this blog thing a try. My plan is to use it as an online scrapbook for my family.
