Relaxin' in the rocker

Sophia has figured out how to crawl up into the rocking chair. Every time she gets situated she kicks her leg up and down. She thinks she's pretty big stuff.

New Stuff

I made this dress today and came up with this awesome bow to go with it. I think I'm more excited about the bow than the dress! The korkers in the middle are scraps from the dress. I wasn't sure if it would work, but it did!

Wrestling Match

Ellen was wrestling with Sophia. I don't think Sophia minded too much, because she was laughing right along with Ellen.

Sophia and Grandpa

Dale and Jane came down Thursday night for dinner. Here are some pretty good pics of Grandpa and Sophia.

Long time coming

I've been waiting for this post to happen for a while now.

The Christmas before Ellen was born, Grandpa Dale bought a wagon for her. She spent many a spring/summer days riding in it. Sometimes alone and sometimes a friend would join her. Now, she has an all-time riding companion! Sophia is big enough to sit up and ride with her big sister.

Yesterday we took the girls on their first wagon ride together. They both thought it was pretty fun stuff.

Sewing Day #2

We had another sewing day at church today. I decided to tackle what they call a pillowcase dress. I've been seeing them all over the web and everyone said they were super easy to make. Well, it ended up being true. If I can do it they must be pretty easy.

I found this cute watermelon print and thought they would be perfect for summer. I even thought they could wear them this spring with a t-shirt and leggings. Now I'm on the look-out for some cute ribbon to make matching bows.

Aren't they cute?

Sewing Project #2

I'm kind of getting excited about sewing. I made an attempt at another small project and this time I did it on my own!

I found this bib pattern at Homemade by Jill. She has a lot of cute stuff with easy to follow tutorials. I thought I would give it a try and this is what I ended up with. Overall I was pretty pleased with my finished project. I would like for it to be a little longer, so next time I'll add a few inches to the bottom.

It serves its purpose very well!

Muffin Tin Monday- YELLOW

This weeks Muffin Tin Monday theme was "Yellow Foods" I usually don't remember until Monday morning that it is actually a MTM so I'm racking my brain to come up with something. This week ended up being an easy one for me. Go figure!
YELLOW FOOD
Top row: Yellow Skittles, Scrambled Eggs, Banana
Bottom row: Vanilla Pudding, Corn, Yellow Peppers
Ellen loves MTM! She gets so excited and usually eats a ton! This week I let Sophia join in on the fun.

My Little Helpers

I find it funny that the dishwasher is so appealing to kids. I guess it's just the right height for those little hands to help. I remember when Ellen loved to unload the silverware and hand it to me to put away. Now, it's Sophia's turn. She was pulling out the silverware and handing it to Ellen to put away. I just love my little helpers!
