Pumpkins and Park

The girls wanted to pick out some pumpkins but we didn't have time to travel far.  We came across this "patch" just outside of Bolivar on your way to Fair Play.

The girls took their time and inspected almost every pumpkin before they found the right one.

Sophia stopped to smell the mums.  Can you believe they were selling these for $15!  We came home with a purple one.  : )

There was a cute little setup for picture taking.  I love this picture!

Our family of four...soon to be five!

The actual pumpkin patch.  Not many orange ones but several green ones.

After the picking out the pumpkins we ran home, made a quick lunch and headed to the park.  After we ate the girls wanted to feed the ducks and geese.

On the other side of the pond there are some beautiful trees.
The Bolivar park is full of amazing fall colors!

"Be ware of the swan"

A trip to the park wouldn't be complete without a turn on the twisty slide.

Baby Shower

I have the best friends and family!
Even though I was having my third girl, my sister-in-law, my cousin, one of my best friends, and my aunt hosted a baby shower for Olivia!   The theme of the party was "little pumpkin".  My cousin, Courtney, made these cute labels and yummy spice cupcakes.  (You should check out her blog over at The Happy- hearted Hostess.  She does some awesome stuff!)

My friend, Courtney, made this great cheese ball in the shape of a pumpkin.  You girls never cease to amaze me.  : )

The whole spread!  My sister-in-law, Lindsay had a fantastic selection of drinks.  She made a great iced tea drink and made some killer flavored coffee!

The "big" girls at the party!
Cousin Kate, Big Sister Ellen, and Big Sister Sophia.  Sophia was excited to learn that she is a little sister and soon to be a big sister!

Thanks again Lindsay, Courtney M., and Courtney S.  Where did Aunt Teresa run off too?

Do you think we could fit ONE MORE GIRL on that couch?  Papa and Nana will be the proud grandparents of 5 little girls!!!!

Early Fall Activities

The girls were in Desloge for Labor Day so Tim and I took a little trip to Bennett Springs.  Tim did some fishing and I did some reading.  I didn't think I should be out on that ledge while being 8 months pregnant!  The shade tree treated me just fine!

The girls and I have been going to Plaster's Orchard for several years now to pick apples.  This year was a little different because the summer weather had been SO HOT!  The apples were in short supply and they weren't as big as they've been in the past, but if we could pick them we wanted to be there.  So, we packed up and headed down the highway.  As you can see in the reflection my belly is getting pretty big.  I was exactly 1 month from having baby Olivia.
My little apple pickers!

Sophia was so excited to be able to reach some on her own.

Ellen thought she was big stuff using the picker all by herself.  I usually go to the orchard with some friends, but we braved it by ourselves this year.

Eating the fruits of their labor.  Sophia has learned from last year to not eat the entire apple.  "We don't eat the nuts!"  is what she said.   : )

After we got home the girls wanted to make applesauce.

I LOVE THIS SMELL!

I love this smell too!  After we made applesauce I made an apple pie.  Warm apple pie on a cool fall day is one of my favorite things!

Baby Olivia's room.  It's pretty much the same as Sophia's except I flip-flopped the bed and glider.  I HAD to do something different!  : )

Daddy's Girls

Tim and the girls after Ellen's first day of School!
