Harvard

The actual gates of Harvard

Some pretty buildings on campus

"John Harvard" statue.  Funny thing about this statue is there are 3 things wrong with the inscription.  It implies that the statue is John Harvard himself.  (it's not...it was probably a model because the French artist didn't have a photograph of Harvard)  It also says that John Harvard was the founder of the school.  (he wasn't...he was a contributor not the founder)  Last it says that Harvard was founded in 1638 (nope..1636!)
We "learned" that it's good luck to rub the left foot of the statue.  We also learned that the male students like to relieve themselves as a joke on the tourists who want to "rub the toe"

THAT'S ALL FOLKS!

I thought I would give this blog thing a try. My plan is to use it as an online scrapbook for my family.
